Get on-line access so you can book an appointment electronically. Alternatively, telephone or visit the surgery during office hours to make an appointment. Appointments are normally for ten minutes, unless stated otherwise.
If medically urgent, an appointment can normally be made for the same day.
Routine appointment: We will try and offer you the first available routine appointment with the GP of your choice, though this is not always possible.
Patients can book appointments up to four weeks in advance and these advance appointments are normally either early morning or early afternoon slots.
Urgent appointments: If you have an urgent problem that can’t wait, please call us between 8 and 9 am, or as early as possible, Monday to Friday, and ask for an urgent appointment with the Duty Doctor. The Receptionist will ask the reason for the appointment. If we know in advance what the emergency is, the doctor can be better prepared. The Duty Doctor or Triage Nurse will call you back later in the morning for a telephone consultation. Where an urgent appointment is offered, patients will be seen by the first available Doctor. You will be seen and treated for your emergency problem only.
Text reminders: We offer a sevice of texting appointment reminders and other healthcare messages. If you would prefer not to receive these messages, please let the receptionist know.
Chaperone: If you would like to be accompanied during an intimate examination by the doctor or nurse, please ask at Reception.
Booking appointments via the internet: You can book appointments on-line. Please speak to a Receptionist for more information.
Cancellations: If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, you may be asked to re-book.
